Lighting of the Teepees — Coloring the World of Cultures

“The Pretty Shield Foundation is using lighted lodges (teepees) to celebrate ‘Coloring the World of Cultures’—honoring the rich diversity of people from around the world who experience Yellowstone, while uplifting the vibrant presence, traditions, and stories of the First Peoples.”
The Pretty Shield Foundation seeks to empower others through cultural awareness, teaching, education, promoting healthy lifestyles, encouraging self-fulfillment in the community and thus allowing one’s goodness and strengths to blossom. The rich diversity of cultures makes a more beautiful world to live in.
- August 3 – Raising the TEEPEES
- August 3 to 8 – lighting from dusk to dawn
- 8:00 PM – Music & Tribal Speaker @ Teepees – Each Evening
- August 9- Take down the teepees
